Over the course of his career as a finance leader, he has been effective in turnaround and high-growth environments within both public and private companies. Scott's sweet spot is bringing order and efficiency to drive market expansion, revenue growth, and profitability. 

As CFO of Podesta, he was challenged to overhaul a finance department struggling to perform effectively in the face of two years of rapid growth. Since 2011, the monthly financial statements have been reengineered, staffing has been rebuilt, the IT infrastructure upgraded, and the credit facility expanded. Over the last 5 years, the business has diversified from primarily a government relations firm to a business that derives 40% of its revenues from the public relations and international lines of business.
