CFOs across industries have recognized that to execute their short and long term strategies, talented finance professionals are the keystone. But is the answer really open floor plans, onsite game rooms and a laxed dress code or is it hiring individuals that can do today’s work while learning tomorrow’s skills? Our network will discuss and examine the challenges in recruiting, retaining and maximizing the performance of top finance talent.
As all too many CFOs have learned, the quickest way to lose top performers and the best talent prospects these days is to showcase an enterprise that is lacking talent competencies and grounded in outdated processes.
Our first quarter Executive Roundtable Series will provide you the opportunity to connect with CFO’s and C-Suite Executives to discuss and explore the following:
Join us as we define the critical talent competencies and priorities necessary for developing today’s finance professionals and explore how advances in technology, automation and enhanced connections to the ‘customer experiences’ are now energizing the career ambitions of finance professionals of today and tomorrow.
Scott Chesson, CFO
Over the course of his career as a finance leader, he has been effective in turnaround and high-growth environments within both public and private companies. Scott's sweet spot is bringing order and efficiency to drive market expansion, revenue growth, and profitability.
As CFO of Podesta, he was challenged to overhaul a finance department struggling to perform effectively in the face of two years of rapid growth. Since 2011, the monthly financial statements have been reengineered, staffing has been rebuilt, the IT infrastructure upgraded, and the credit facility expanded. Over the last 5 years, the business has diversified from primarily a government relations firm to a business that derives 40% of its revenues from the public relations and international lines of business.
