Drawing on our 2018 Sentiment Report that surveyed over 500 CFOs and finance leaders from around the globe and in-depth interviews with dozens of CFO Alliance Members, we are gathering together at our Q2 Roundtable Series to discuss,debate and dissect how CFOs can build and lead a finance  function that embraces technology to improve performance, increase efficiencies and enhance confidence and understanding across the enterprise.

Technology - Ongoing advances in new technologies — such as in-memory computing, the cloud, analytics, mobility, business intelligence (BI), and process automation — offer CFOs an exciting opportunity to redesign what the finance function can and should look like. In addition, many CFOs are now leading the effort in driving adoption of these technologies more broadly in the organization, and in leading the transformation that ensues from technology innovation.

David Wohlwend is the Vice President of Finance for ModSquad, Inc. ModSquad is the leading cloud-enabled digital engagement service provider in the world. David has overall responsibility for all things finance and accounting at ModSquad reporting directly to the COO. Currently leading a global team of six professionals as ModSquad continues its hyper-growth in the global outsourcing market. David has experience with ERP vendor selection and systems installations on numerous projects.  He is also an Intacct MVP and has spoken at the Intacct Advantage conference on several occasions and is featured in the SalesForce.com App Talk: “ModSquad Operationalizes its Entire Business with Sage Intacct.” 

While at ModSquad, David has directed the successful transformational implementation of Sage Intacct cloud based ERP system and set up Derry Northern Ireland subsidiary and negotiated related banking, audit and tax relationships. David has driven a 2-point gross margin improvement utilizing dashboard KPIs and related targets.

David obtained a BBA in Accounting, summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.  David serves on the board of directors of Access Books Bay Area and performs a lot of other hands on community service throughout the Bay Area. David is a father to two amazing children and also an avid downhill skier, cyclist, golfer, and chef in addition to being a voracious reader of many literary genres when he is not reading financial statements.
