Kellie Goldstein is Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller for K12 Inc. (NYSE: LRN), a $1B EdTech company based in Herndon, VA. She is a Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners, a network-driven venture firm that brings together hundreds of part-time venture capitalists who invest in and support a portfolio of exceptional entrepreneurs. She is a Board Member for Audience Awards, an entertainment technology platform disrupting and democratizing traditional branded entertainment by powering turnkey video contests that bring together filmmakers, audiences and brands. Previously, Kellie was the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Travel Channel, the world’s leading travel media brand. In that role she served as the primary financial adviser and business partner responsible for finance, strategy, partnerships, operations, corporate development, new revenue generation and mobile. Previously, over a 12+ year career at Thomson Reuters, her roles included: Chief Financial Officer of the Emerging Markets and Chief Financial Officer of Asia based in Hong Kong (two of the highest growth and strategic divisions), Global Controller, and Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis. She also has experience raising venture capital, in global mergers and acquisitions and with an initial public offering. She is a CPA and has worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Virginia, and also worked for Hagler Bailly and CACI. Goldstein is a graduate of the George Mason University School of Management with a MS in Accounting and of Virginia Tech with a BS in Finance. She has also attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth for their Executive Education - Strategic Financial Leadership program.
